Trek Itinerary
Day 1 : Senaru village (601M) – Senaru crater rim (2641 M)
Embark on a Breathtaking 2-Day Mount Rinjani Trekking Adventure
The 2-day Mount Rinjani trekking adventure commences at the Rinjani Trek Center Senaru at approximately 08:00. As we venture into the dense tropical forest, you’ll be surrounded by an abundance of vibrant plant species, exotic birdlife, and an array of colorful butterflies. We’ll take a short break at POS 2 Montong SATAS shelter, situated at an altitude of 1,500 meters, where you can indulge in tea and biscuits while taking in the serene atmosphere. Following the break, we’ll embark on a 2-hour trek to POS 3 Mondokan Lolak, located at 2,000 meters, where a delicious lunch awaits. The journey then continues to the Senaru crater rim, situated at an impressive 2,641 meters, where we’ll arrive after a scenic 2-hour trek. As the sun sets, the crater rim offers a breathtaking panorama, with the majestic Mount Agung in Bali and the smoke from a new volcano near the lake creating a dramatic backdrop. We’ll set up camp here for the night, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of Mount Rinjani.
Day 2 : Senaru crater rim (2641M) – Senaru village (601M)
Witness a Breathtaking Sunrise and Descend to Senaru Village
Following a delightful breakfast, surrounded by the majestic views of a stunning sunrise from Mount Rinjani, we will begin our descent to Senaru village. Our journey will take us through the lush rainforest, where we’ll keep an eye out for the elusive black monkey. The approximate 5-hour trek includes a refreshing lunch break, providing an opportunity to recharge and take in the captivating scenery. As we make our way down, the landscape will transform, and the sounds of the rainforest will gradually give way to the sights and sounds of Senaru village. Upon reaching Senaru village, situated at an elevation of 601 meters, our trip will come to a close. We’ll bid farewell to the majestic Mount Rinjani, carrying with us memories of an unforgettable adventure and the breathtaking beauty of this Indonesian wonderland.
